Heart Shaped Tomato

As summer comes to its conclusion and fall takes hold I would like to share some of the fruits of my backyard labor (or labour depending where you live). Here is the top and bottom of my heart shaped tomato. I didn’t use a ‘form’ to shape this lovely tomato or use my brain powers (also called mind shaping) for this fruit of the vine to be grown in this lovely way. It was nature and nature alone. The sun, water and once in a while I weeded to help in it’s creation. Behold the heart shaped tomato in all it’s glory. (I expect Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! will be knocking at my door to take it from me, but alas it was in a salad eaten long ago.

New Radio Drama – Brick Mallery P.I. New Pulp Radio Plays

This is the long-lost first episode in the audio drama series about Brick Mallery, Private Investigator. In this episode Brick Mallery’s old acquaintance rolls back into town with a couple of hired guns on his trail. Both men resume a case involving the pursuit of an evil criminal who is seeking revenge.

This is one if the best NEW, as some people call it, Radio Dramas. The long suffering people the produce NEW radio plays/dramas, usually look for no reward for their work. At the beginning they might think they can get it on NPR, CBC or the BBC but believe me they have a better chance of getting hit by lightening.

To tell you the truth, most of the new radio dramas are crap. But some, and I do mean some, are very good. The title chosen here, Brick Mallery Private Investigator, actually won 2 Publishers Weekly awards for best Mystery Series and Best Publishers Weekly “Listen Up” Award for Dramatized Production. This is no small accomplishment.

To even get a review (good or bad) when you are an independent small publisher is a great accomplishment all on it’s own – but to actually win something (although it doesn’t pay the bills) is incredible.

I don’t know why more movie and TV studios are not looking at some of these Radio Dramas to create original and interesting concepts.

As far as I am concerned Brick Mallery P.I. would make a fantastic animated TV series because it has detectives, murder, humor, far-out stories, elements of Sci-FI, Comedy Noir, riddles, puzzles mind bending plots and the bottom line is (as Stone Cold would say) it’s just fu#k!ng good stuff!

I have a link from a PR 5 link but you disregard it like a red headed step child. When will you tell me what is good and what is bad? Or is PR a red herring?
